Frost Labs One App Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Frost Labs One app (the "app") does with your information. The app is made by Arctic Supply LLC, doing business as Frost Labs ("Frost Labs", "we", "us"). Our online store has its own store privacy policy; this page is only about the app.

The short version: the app works without an account. We never ask for your email, phone number or exact location. Your name stays on your phone. We only receive research data if you say yes, and even then it is sent without your name. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

1. What stays on your phone

The app saves these things on your phone only. They are never sent to us:

  • The first name you enter (used to greet you in the app).
  • Your session history, the migraine days you mark in the calendar, and your app settings.
  • The Bluetooth ID of your Frost Labs One device, so the app can reconnect to it.
  • The city you choose for the migraine weather card, and the latest forecast.

If you delete the app, this information is deleted with it.

2. What we receive, only if you agree

When you set up the app, we ask if you want to help improve Frost Labs. You can say no, and you can change your answer any time in Settings > Your data. If you say yes, the app sends us:

  • Your welcome answers: for example how many migraine days you have in a month, how long you have had migraines, whether you get an aura, where you feel the pain, other symptoms, what you use for migraines today, and what would help you most. These answers are health information, so we only collect them with your permission.
  • Session information: which program you used (RELIEF or DAILY), when, how long, the highest level, whether Automatic mode was used, whether the session finished, and how you felt afterwards if you answered.
  • Simple app events: when the app is opened, when you mark or unmark a migraine day, and when you tap a reminder, an in-app message or a shop link.
  • Technical details: a random ID created by the app (not linked to your name, email or phone), your phone type (Android or iPhone), the app version and your time zone.

We never receive your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos or exact location from the app.

3. Why we use it

  • To understand how people use Frost Labs One and how they feel after sessions, so we can improve the device, the app and our guidance.
  • To fix problems in the app.
  • To learn about migraines in our community, for example which symptoms are most common. We may share overall results that cannot identify anyone (for example "60% of users get light sensitivity").

We do not use this data for advertising and we do not sell it or share it with advertisers.

4. Location (migraine weather)

The migraine weather card shows changes in air pressure where you live. You can type your city, or tap "Use my location". If you use your location, the app asks your phone for your approximate location once, finds your city, and keeps a rounded position (about 1 km) on your phone. To get the forecast, the app sends that rounded position, or the city name you search for, to Open-Meteo, a weather service. Open-Meteo does not receive your name or your health data. We do not track where you go, and your location is not sent to us.

5. Bluetooth

The app uses Bluetooth only to find and control your Frost Labs One device. It does not use Bluetooth to find your location.

6. Reminders and in-app messages

If you allow notifications, the app may send a few reminders that are scheduled on your phone, for example a nudge if you have not tried your first session after a few days, or a reminder about replacement pads. You can turn reminders off in Settings or in your phone's settings. The app may also show short messages from Frost Labs, like news or offers. To check for these, the app contacts our server, but it does not send any personal information to do so.

7. Who processes the data

  • Supabase stores the research data from section 2 on our behalf, on secure servers. The app can only add data; it cannot read it back.
  • Open-Meteo provides weather forecasts (section 4).
  • Apple and Google deliver the app and notifications under their own privacy policies.

We may also share information if the law requires it.

8. How long we keep it

We keep the research data for as long as it helps us improve our products, and we delete it when it is no longer needed. Because it is linked only to a random ID, we cannot connect it to you unless you give us that ID.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Stop sharing: turn off "Help improve Frost Labs" in Settings. Nothing more will be sent.
  • Delete your data: email us at support@getfrostlabs.com with your app ID (shown in Settings > Your data) and we will delete everything linked to it.
  • Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK, California or Washington State), you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data, or to withdraw your consent. Contact us and we will help. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

The app is meant for adults. It is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

11. Not medical advice

The app and its content, including the migraine weather card, are for general information. They are not medical advice and do not replace advice from your doctor. Talk to a doctor about your migraines, and seek urgent care if you have a sudden severe headache or other worrying symptoms.

12. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is important, we will also tell you in the app.
